The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) User Meeting aims to showcase ELI’s scientific offer while engaging with the User Community to gain valuable feedback on scientific and technical developments and what services are most useful to support researchers during the proposal submission process.

The 2026 edition of the User Meeting will feature an engaging programme designed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration. The interactive sessions will focus on key technologies, instrumentation, mission-based access areas, and other relevant topics, with input from experts across the ELI facilities. It will also promote new initiatives and collaborations encouraging fresh ideas and partnerships, in particular with satellite sessions on In-situ Intensity Measurements for Multi-Petawatt Lasers and Nano-Structured Targets for Laser-Plasma Interactions.

The 11th edition of the ELI Summer School (ELISS) series aims to provide young scientists with a comprehensive overview of the generation and application of intense laser pulses and laser-driven particle and radiation sources. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in dynamic poster sessions and visit the ELI ALPS laboratories while making new connections with other students, speakers, and the ELI staff.

Who can join?

ELISS is open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers. Whether you’re new to laser science or deep into your studies, there’s something here for everyone.
